| The NPS Mobile
Cafeteria Bench Tables are available in two "series" (and are priced
accordingly): The PW Series: Tabletops - Consist of high
pressure laminate bonded to a 3/4" thick premium grade plywood with the
unique NPS "protect-edge" sides. The PB Series: Tabletops - Consist of high
pressure laminate bonded to a 3/4" thick solid industrial grade
particleboard with T-mold edges.

Specifications: MTB - Mobile Bench Table
General
Folding, mobile cafeteria table with attached folding benches shall have a top surface measuring 30” wide. The top surface shall be 29” high when opened for use. The top length shall be 12’ or 10’ or 8’. Each bench unit shall have four fold-up benches that can be opened for use and closed for easy floor clean up and bench protected shipping.
Entrances
Each bench unit shall have six walk-in entry points. Benches shall be attached to the table structure in a manner that does not significantly obstruct the user from entering from either end or between the benches. Any metal component located near the floor, where feet may come into contact with them shall be chrome plated. All other metal frame components should be epoxy powdercoated.
Locking
A security lock shall tightly lock the table in the open position and must be capable of operating from both sides of the table. The lock rod shall be 7/16 diameter and chrome plated to resist wear. The table shall also be fitted with a midway position lock to allow units to be secured in a partially folded position for easier and faster mobility.
Tabletops and Benches
Option 1: Particleboard core with vinyl T-molding
Tabletops shall be surfaced with high pressure laminate bonded to a 3/4” thick 47 lb. particleboard core, sealed underneath with a phenolic backer sheet. Benches shall be surfaced with high pressure laminate bonded to a 1” thick 47 lb. particleboard core, sealed underneath with a phenolic backer sheet. Edge of the top shall be banded with vinyl T-molding, secured by staples to the tops underside approximately every 10”.
Option 2: Plywood core with TuffEdge guard
Tabletops shall be surfaced with high pressure laminate bonded to a 3/4” thick AC grade plywood core, sealed underneath with a phenolic backer sheet. Bench shall be surfaced with high pressure laminate bonded to a 1” thick AC grade plywood core, sealed underneath with a phenolic backer sheet. Edge of the top shall be sealed with a polyurethane epoxy resin, chemically bound to the edge of the laminate, core and backing sheet.
Table top Support
Each top shall be supported by two 1-7/8” deep, 14 gauge steel apron. Apron shall contain no holes greater than ½” diameter and shall be capped at the ends with riveted plastic protectors. Each top shall be supported in at least two places.
Leg assemblies
Vertical tubes supporting the benches shall be constructed of 1-1/4 “ diameter, 14 gauge steel tubing with 11 gauge tubing used on the base of the end leg assemblies. The bench support arm shall be constructed of 14 gauge chrome plated rectangular steel. All other tubular components shall be 1.05” diameter, 14 gauge steel tubing, or structural members of equal or greater strength.
Casters
Casters shall be heavy-duty, double ball baring type with a minimum rated load capacity of 275 lbs. each. Casters should have hard rubber non-marking wheels 4” diameter x 1-1/4” wide.
Safety Requirements
Bench units shall be safety tested and listed by Underwriter’s Laboratories, Inc. Bench units must display UL labels with valid UL file number.
When bench unit is opened for use, all casters shall lift off the ground automatically so the table does not roll. Casters that protrude past the end of the bench unit when opened for use, are prohibited to prevent tripping hazard.
Bench units shall have no moving parts that can pinch, cut or pierce the operator’s hands while the table is being folded up and down.
Warranty
Mobile bench units shall be covered by 15-year warranty.

Entrances
Each stool position shall have its own entrance clear of obstructions when entering the unit to sit down. Stool units having support members running across the entrance area are not acceptable.
Locking
A security lock shall tightly lock the table in the open position and must be capable of operating from both sides of the table. The lock rod shall be 7/16 diameter and chrome plated to resist wear. The table shall also be fitted with a midway position lock to allow units to be secured in a partially folded position during floor maintenance and for easier and faster mobility.

Units with stools braced from the floor are not acceptable.
Stools
Stools shall be injection molded with a minimum of 25 oz. of Rubber modified, high impact, polystyrene materials measuring 13” in diameter. Stools shall be reinforced against breakage with a minimum of 12 integrally molded, tapered ribs. Ribs shall extend from the outer parameter of the stool to the mounting hub at the center if the stool. Stools shall be mounted with 5/16” diameter bolts and locking nuts. Spring pins are not acceptable.
Casters
